More Travel Photographs

The next few blog articles will explain how I made images on this trip to Hawaii.
First stop, San Jose and the Bay Area:
Made with my iPhone 13Pro, set on “1x Close Up” with available light. There is a little fall off of depth-of-field at the top because of the close up setting. Image made at Hog Island Restaurant, Larkspur Landing, California, a restaurant we have visited before.
Several aerials made with my iPhone 13Pro on various settings:
Downtown Honolulu
Aerial view of Diamond Head.
Sunset palms on Hawaii.
Here’s a neat panorama shot from my hotel balcony. It was made with my Canon 20mm lens, set at ISO 100, 125th of a second @ f/5.6:
Made with the “Photomerge” facility in Photoshop.
Here are a couple of images from our tour on March 6, 2024:
This shot in original B+W, was made near Kona, Hawaii with a #25A Red filter to accentuate the sky.
Here is a shot made not with a closeup lens, but, again my slightly wide-angle 20mm. It was made at Mountain Thunder Kona Coffee farm on the big island of Hawaii. Settings were ISO 1000, f/8 @ 1/125th of a second. A fill-in flash was used to highlight the water and a few of the leaves.
Here I am shooting in Hawaii with my lens pouches on my belt! I try never to carry any camera bags when I am just walking around looking at the sights.
