More Images From Switzerland

Shooting technique:
When you are a touring photographer, you are most likely, visiting places that you have never been. So my technique involves trying to capture the essence of a place or a scene. Sometimes, it could be just a particular locale. But usually it might involve waiting until there are no people or until the light is right. Sometimes it might entail making the image in Black&White and filtering the light to bring out the detail in an object you wish to show. It often involves looking for light and the right light to make a memorable image. Sometimes it includes making photographs that follow a certain theme like various doorways, walls or steps. It could be barns or pastel colored buildings. Many photographers look for things like this around which to build their photographic projects. Whatever the motivation, always look to make memorable images.
On this trip, because European cities are small and very quaint, it just seemed to arise that I was drawn to shooting alley ways, steps and other pedestrian venues. There were even a few in Zermatt, where we spent about a total of 4.5 hours:
