Images of Italy

by William Lulow

For the next three weeks or so, my blog pages will detail my trip to Italy, June, 2025. I will post information on how the images were made with relevant exposure details and shooting techniques. They will be posted regularly on Tuesdays & Fridays.  I hope you enjoy viewing them.

Capri, Italy (With the famous Blue Grotto on the right, which happened to be closed today because the tide was too high):

Here’s one of my images of Positano, Italy:

Image was made with my Canon 90D with a 20mm lens and graduated ND filter. It was hand-held. Exposure was ISO 125, f/10 @ 1/125th of a second. It was adjusted in Photoshop with some addition to vibrance and saturation to make the colors a bit more heightened. Sometimes the effect of the SATURATION tool is to increase the blue in the sky. I also masked the rowboat and brought down it’s light value a bit because of the excess brightness of the white color. This is the first post of the trip.

Sunday, June 1, 2025:
