More Images From The Road – Switzerland
by William Lulow
Being on another road trip has added to my thinking about how I look for scenic images to add to my collection. I am not just after photographs that I just happen upon, I seem to be looking, kind of instinctively for those that I find interesting and visually exciting. It may be the light, or it may be the subject matter. More often than not it is a combination of various elements that make a certain image powerful.
Interlaken.
This image made me think back to some famous ones of the 1940s and 1950s when photographers were shooting with Leica, rangefinder cameras on Black & White film, capturing street scenes in Europe.
Other times it is just a matter of composition and the juxtaposition of “open” space versus clutter in the frame.
Some clouds on the road to Lugano.
